  Tiermenschen

Looks like there just tweeking pretty much the same list over and over again now. This one looks like it's going to be wrap. With just a minor twist here or there, but there a 90% chance this is what your going to see come late November/ December.

Lords:
Beastlord
Great Bray Shaman
Doombull [magicial weapons and mutations only]
note- Lords can buy Chaos Armour for 10 pts

Hero's:
Wargor
Bray Shaman
Centigor

Core:
Beast Herd [rank up 5 wide]
Bestigors
Centigors [fast cav]
Warhounds

Special:
Tuskgor Chariots [2-1 choice]
Minotaurs [become core choice with Doombull]
Chaos Ogres
Dragon Ogres

Rare:
Chaos Giant
Shaggoth
Spawns
Gorgon - [stat line: M8 WS5 S5 T5 W5 I3 5A]

New rule change: If your General decides not to ambush, your general can have the chance for Beast Herd units to scout. [roll a D6]
1-2: Beast Herds are drunk and do not Scout
3-4: 1 unit of Beast Herds can Scout
5-6: 2 units of Beast Herds can Scout

New models: Bestigors, Mino's, Dragon Ogre, Shamans, Beastlord/Wargor & Gorgon.

Lords can take 100 pts of magic items & 100 points of Chaos Mutations/Gifts. Hero's can take up to 50 points of magical items and 50 points of Chaos Mutations/Gifts.

Some interesting new items or Chaos Mutations/Gifts: [Mutations/Gifts can only be taken once]

* banner that turns Bestigors into Raider's like Beast Herds *
* breath gift * [breaths fire 25 pts]
* extra Two Arm Mutation * [adds +2 attacks to profile 50 pts]
* extra Horn * [adds a extra attack on the charge 20 pts]
* Hoof of Speed [double M5 model 30 pts]
* Stone Skin * [+2 to your armour save 25 pts]
* Staff of Darkoth is a bound item *
* Troll Hide * [50 pts for Regeneration]
* Unholy Beast Strength [+1S for 25 pts]
* Bloodstone Braystaff* [Arcane item that gives a +1LD to Shamans and +2 MR for 50 pts]

Spell Lores: Beasts of Nurgle, Slaanesh and Tzeentch are getting there own new lores. Very close to the WoC new lores with minor change to the lists. For Tzeentch player's I was told boon of Tzeentch is in there.

Inside thoughts from play tester's are: That a Doombull with Chaos Mutations can rival a Vampire Lord as a combat character now. Plus Chaos Armour & Stone Skin give him nice protection at 2+ armour save. He expects Doombull to be the most popular Lord choice!

Also by turning the Centigors into Fast Cav there no need to add flyers into a Beast of Chaos army. Between this move and the new Gorgon & Chaos Mutations, BoC should be able to compete very well in 7th edition.

I was told that they feel this list will pretty much go to print. That Games-Workshop and play testers are all happy with the end results so far. Will post more information as I get it. As I asked for the new lores so I can play test with my friends myself.

Bestigors könnt man mit Plänklerbanner spielen, is evtl ganz nett.

There is a good chance that Rune of the True Beast will work against Monster Character's in the new BoC book. I was told it was one of the hot debate going on between play tester's and the design team. So Beasts could end up being the Kryptonite against Greater Daemons. [it's in the latest play test list]

Looks like the design team is trying to tone down Daemons with this item. My sorce says it's one of the big debates going on about the new book. Also in the new play test list it costs 50 pts. Look for the release of BoC book to be in the 1st quarter of 2010, my insider says Beast Mutations, Centigor fast Cav, Gorgan and Dragon Ogres are still in the play test list. Also Bestigors got cheaper at 10 pts per model and Foe Render went down to 20 pts.

The only Special character he talked about was a Daemon Prince of Khorne. My source said he the only Daemon Prince in the book. On the modeling front he said the Minatours, Gorgon & Dragon Ogres look fantastic!

----
I have heard that along with Ghazrak, Gorthor and Morghur returning there will be three other characters;

A Minotaur character who pulls along a braystone and can cast spells

A drunken centigor character with a magical double handed weapon

Some monster called ' the thing in the woods'
----
Neue Gerüchte von Warseer:

Apparently all units with the Ambush special rule will be able to do so, no more half deployed and half in ambush ()

There will be different 'breeds' of hound available as upgrades, however upgrading them means they lose ambush. No further info on this was forwarded to me.

There will be a range of mutations available as upgrades for characters in similar vein to chaotic/demonic/vampyric upgrades

Harpies are almost 100% gonna be in the new list

News!

Zitat:

Zitat:
Following up on earlier hints from Games Workshop, the first real rumor dumps of the Beast of Chaos armybook have arrived:

Scryer in the Darkness says:

Doombull (Metal Box) - TBD
Grulgor* (Metal Box) - TBD
Gors (Plastic Box) - TBD
Ungors (Plastic Box) - TBD
Bestigors (Plastic Box) - 32,50 €
Minotaurs (Plastic Box) - 35,00 €

And the Chariot got a new product code, though that may not necessarily mean it's getting a new model.

Gors (Plastic Box) - £15.00 / US?? / 19,50 € / Oz$41.00
Ungors (Plastic Box) - £15.00 / US?? / 19,50 € / Oz$41.00
Bestigors (Plastic Box) - £25.00 / US?? / 32,50 € / Oz$69.00
Minotaurs (Plastic Box) - £27.00 / US?? / 35,00 € / Oz$74.00

But the metal box codes are a bit muddied by the multitude of new codes for existing metal products that aren't actually going to to be getting new kits. I have three metal products that are "new", I'm pretty certain the first two are Doombull and Grulgor respectively, and I get the feeling that the £35 box is just the existing Centigors. So I'll just leave these unassigned for the moment until I can get a confirmation on what is actually new and what has just been given a new product code:

(Metal Box) - £15.00 / US$25.00 / 22,50 € / Oz$44.00
(Metal Box) - £25.00 / US$41.25 / 32,50 € / Oz$69.00
(Metal Box) - £35.00 / US$57.75 / 50,00 € / Oz$96.00

and Grimgorironhide adds:

"Not sure if already posted but I found this off warhammer forums.
"Beastmen due out at the start of March.
*** Herds/Ungors are still mixed and rank up 5 wide. Champions no longer confer a +1 LD bonus - however the majority of beast units and characters have went up 1 in LD.
*** Ambush is still available to the herds.
*** Minotaur lords are still available and have access to Beast mutations. Makes minotaurs core.
*** Chariots are now special choices but 2 for 1.
*** Centigors are core and fast cav however you still need to take gors/ungors/bestigors to fill up your core slots.
*** Gorgon is the new monster in the Rare spots.
*** Centigor Hero available
*** Beastlords with LD9"

The width issue is a no brainer to be fixed, I think we can take that as a given. I have also heard talk about different "breeds" of warhounds perhaps being available... I'm guessing this might be as simple as buying them poisoned attacks/regeneration/clown shoes and red noses etc etc.

I gather the roles of the Shaman and the Minotaurs will be expanded upon in this release.. makes sense and is, again, a kind of retrotastic move by GW back towards the RoC era fluff."

Zitat:

Zitat:
Rules

Army-wide Special Rules, Magic Lores, and Magic Items

Ambush is supposedly staying much the same, though it has been suggested that it will no longer be dependant on the General.

No news on Unruly.

An "all new magic lore" (singular) has been promised. believed to be a consolidated version of the Lores of Chaos, but rather an entirely new "Lore of the Dark Forest".

Alongside Magic Items, "Mutations" will be available in the same way as WoC Gifts or Vampire Powers, operating on the same budgetary lines. Bonuses, like Scaly Skin, extra Strength and Movement are expected, as well as more esoteric abilities like Breath Weapons. Multiples of the same Mutation are expected to be allowed.

The traditional marking system may have been scrapped, in keeping with the less obvious devotion to the Godly "cults" of Chaos.

*Note, army-list slots are representative only until more solid rumours appear*

Lords & Heroes

Beastlord/Wargor – Ld 9, T5, with appropriate price hikes. May take Chaos Armour. May be accompanied by a 'pet' US3 Beast Spawn.

Great Bray-Shaman/Bray-Shaman – May be able to take a Herdstone, in the same manner as an Anvil/Casket. Beast Spawn as above.

Doombull– A metal box set release is confirmed; it is assumed that the Doombull will still allow Minotaurs as Core.

Centigor Hero - Aside from the Centigor Special Character, it has been rumoured that there will be a Centigor character available as a standard Hero choice. However, this may be a mutation rather than a seperate choice.

Daemon Prince? - No longer believed to be in the list.

Core

Beast Herds - No new models are expected, though Gors and Ungors are to be split into two seperate Plastic Boxes. Ranking issues to be fixed. Supposedly the champion will no longer provide +1Ld. Some sort of Scout option is believed to be available.

Bestigor Herds – New Plastic Models.

Warhounds - Varieties of Warhounds allowed through upgrades - Hunting, Guarding, etc.

Centigor? – Rumoured to be moved to Core. Fast Cavalry. Supposedly armour options will be available.

Special

Tuskgor Chariots – Believed to be 2-4-1.

Minotaurs – New plastic models. Believed to still be Core with Doombull.

Dragon Ogres? - Possibly dropped. On the one hand, they are thought not to 'fit' with the new Beasts 'feel'. On the other, plastic Dragon Ogres are also rumoured.

Chaos Trolls? - Very possibly dropped.

Harpies/Gargoyles/Gorgoyles - Rumoured flying infantry.

Razorgor - The previously mentioned "Gruulgor". A single model, reportedly similar in appearance to a warthog. Possibly a large Tuskgor.

Rare

Chaos Giant – As in WoC book.

Spawn – Assumed to be in WoC book. Possibility of slight changes.

Gorgon – A new monster. Supposedly on a chariot-base, with Movement 8 and stats in the 5s, with Impact Hits and a Breathweapon. Model is probable, but unconfirmed.

Dragon Ogre Shaggoth? - Possibly dropped. Even less likely to appear than the Dragon Ogres.

Herdstone/Dark Heart? – In the same vein as a Corpse Cart, Warshrine, and Screaming Bell, a Herdstone with the ability to buff nearby units might be expected. However, it may be an upgrade/"mount" for the Bray-Shaman. A "giant evil tree/corrupt treeman" has also been suggested, "dark heart of the forest" style.
